Llanelli’s first women’s networking group celebrates its first year!

Llanelli Networking

Llanelli Women In Networking Breakfast

Llanelli’s Women in Networking Breakfast celebrated its first year this month at Machynys Peninsula Golf Club and Premier Spa, Llanelli. Women who are self-employed, directors of companies or work in businesses where networking could be beneficial joined together for a relaxed and informal networking breakfast, with cake, to celebrate.

This supportive women’s networking group, set up by two Llanelli business women, Rebecca Rosenthal of Rivki Rose Training and Michelle Beer of Ferry Cake Marketing and PR, has seen an increased number of members and new visitors each month. The group usually meets up for breakfast on the first Monday of each month and once a quarter for an evening networking dinner.

In the past 12 months, business and working relationships have developed within the groups, and each person takes something different away from the meeting. Becca explained ‘We’re a firm that is very conscious about our social responsibilities and are pleased to co-host the meeting each month. It’s a group full of beautifully dynamic and ambitious women keen to make a success of the network opportunities, and, for many of them, to grow and develop themselves and their businesses. We’re absolutely thrilled to see the first anniversary of the network. It’s been a great first year. Here’s to the next 12 months!’

BoBecca and Michelle WINLth Michelle and Becca voluntarily put time aside to promote, organise and arrange relevant speakers for the meetings each month.

Michelle added ‘We are extremely grateful to the host venue, Machynys Golf and Spa, which has been extremely supportive by providing a room for the meetings to take place each month. Both Becca and I decided that it was to be a free event, so as not to create any barriers to attendance, and to encourage regular attendance to help build a supportive network and business relationships with each other. Ladies from Swansea and Carmarthenshire come together to share experience and knowledge, and inspire and support each other, as well as doing business. On average, 18 ladies attend each month, but numbers have varied from 10–26.
